is about to direct a new play 'Love me Love
my Dog' at the Hen
& Chickens Theatre in Islington
and over Christmas she is directing
a new kids musical 'Goblins Don't Scare Us' at
the New End Theatre in Hampstead where Jerry
Hall is currently strutting her stuff! She looks
forward to doing something Sensational in between!!!

members find out that the last film they all
worked on together, the short 'FOOTSTEPS',
is to be shown at Raindance on the 26th October.

is back on the Monarch of the Glen
trail. She is editing the dance sequence that she choreographed
with Gosford Park scribe Julian Fellowes.

heads off to university.

Not entirely
happy with their strand and had a day long meeting where they discussed the shortcomings
in the subject matter. They
spent the afternoon brainstorming
and storyboarding alternatives.
Until by pure genius (okay by sheer chance) they hit upon
the missing ingredient that made their story work.

contacted the local press in
South London to generate some interest in what film-makers
in the area are doing.

The had their film Burnt
Bernard, screened at Shoreditch
and on the same night had it accepted in the Californian film
festival.
September 24th 2002
is preparing funding applications
to regional bodies. What he needs is a completed
script, directors' treatments,
a budget and a completed
movies that the directors have made. So not much
really.
September 23rd 2002
rewrote the draft that he and
are to direct. The whole subject matter was changed to a new
storyline based upon the team's
discussions .

(without breathing apparatus) with the Russian

Today
meet with the in Brixton, to rewrite
and storyboard their strand of the script. We came up with
a new angle on the original story and discussed shooting teams
and schedules.
Afterwards
we went to the Premier of Road to Perdiditon and rubbed shoulders
(from a distance) with Tom Hanks,
Sam Mendes and Kate
Winslett.

Team Sensational
meet up for a progress meeting. We planned out the first
shoot, which we aim to shoot in the coming weeks. We're still
pushing ahead with funding but are going to start shooting
regardless.

Lesley
and Farhan sent off their 90
second films for the Brief Encounters festival to be held
later this year!
September 12th 2002
Lesley,
Paul and Farhan
had a meeting regarding funding and how to find it and how
to use it. We came up with a plan and now are putting it in
action.
September
10th 2002
spent
the day filming on the impressive estate in 'Glenbogle' for
'Monarch of the Glen'. She choreographed a tango for Susan
Hampshire (Molly) and Julian
Fellowes (Killwillie).
They danced
up a storm and inbetween takes Pat chatted to Julian about
script writing! As he is now the hottest
property in Hollywood after winning an Oscar for
his first screenplay, Gosford Park...
she feels sure some of the magic has rubbed off on her! Look
out for the dancing in episode 9!!!
September 7th 2002
Lesley,
Kate and Farhan
had a group discussion regarding an alternative story for
one of the strands. From the discussion we found out what
story lines didn't work and made clear what this particular
strand will try to achieve.
September 6th 2002
Spent the
day researching the project,
investigating tabloid's stories, the language used.
September 5th 2002
Various
members of the team worked together to shoot
a short at the Barbican. It was the first time this group
had worked together and worked together well they did.
September 4th 2002
Jami,
Matt and Farhan went
to set up shots for a short film shoot for tomorrow at the
Barbican. Most of the week had been spent preparing this shoot.
Storyboards were developed over a few drinks afterwards. The
evening was spent getting equipment from Paul's
and Julian's, who kindly offered
their help.
August 30th 2002
The core
Sensational team meet with our production assistant Jami,
who Paul and Farhan met in Edinburgh and three of the other
Pat, Emma and Ben.
Despite
a lot of Pizza and Alcohol we managed to discuss issues regarding
shooting and logistics and managed script development. By
the way Paul is an excellent
cook, no, really!
August 29th 2002
Made final
preps for tommorow's meeting with five of the seven
.
August 28th 2002
Had a development
meeting with the core sensational team. We decided upon which
strands each director would be doing.
We also
threw out one of the stories that we had been reworking since
the beginning. We swapped it with a new story and brainstormed
different scenarios. We came up with an idea and set out an
outline for the new scene.
August 27th 2002
E-mailed
the latest draft of Senstional
out to all the directors. Aiming
to set up a meeting later this week.
August 26th 2002
After
hectic days in Edinburgh we headed
back to London, with a plan of
action.
August 25th 2002
Started
the afternoon off watching another play called '100'
which featured Matt Boatwright, who
we had all worked with before on 'Footsteps'. After the play
we met who's coming on board as a production
assistant.
Went
to the Award ceromony and managed to get tickets to the European
Premier of the Robin Williams and Al Pacino movie 'Insomnia'.
Onto the closing party where we met even more people!
  
August 24th 2002
Had a morning
off films and took a quick tour of Edinburgh.
Went to the Fringe to see 'We don't talk
anymore' a play
directed by one of our
Pat Garrett. Before
watching 'The Last Great Wilderness'
and 'One hour Photo' spoke to
Pat about her play and Sensational.
August 23rd 2002
We
went to a Producer's seminar hosted by Media Desk, saw the
documentaries 'It kinda scares me'
and 'Breathe Control' and the
feature 'Changing Lanes'.
We went
to a party held for the cast and crew of 'The Last Great Wilderness'
and then onto Bongo where some of the people from 'Breathe
Control' were.
August 22nd 2002
Part of
team Sensational are off to Edinburgh as
the others hold down the fort and keep the operation running.
Before that
we launched the website at 03:30,
before Paul flies at 06:30 from Gatwick and Farhan sets off
in the afternoon.
After watching
the film 'Out of Control' we
went to the delegate center, meet many people including the
director and cast of 'Out of Contorl', which went on to win
the audience's award.
August 21st 2002
More modifications
to the site, Paul spent the day running around making final
preps for Edinburgh trip, including getting the business cards
and a haircut!
August
20th 2002
Met makeup
artist David Baynes in Streatham, took the guys out for a
drink, told them about the project and viewed their work.
Got the
business cards for Edinburgh
designed by Lesley and e-mailed to the printers at 01h13.
Registered
web page, got confirmation e-mail
at 23h00, saying that it may take 96 hours to get the site
up to full speed. Bit of a problem seeing as we've put the
site address and e-mail address on the business cards to go
to Edinburgh with us. We'll need to get someone to upload
the pages up while we're away.
August 19th 2002
Met a couple
of musicians who wrote the score
on another movie made in the group. Had a team meeting where
we discussed what needs to be done in Edinburgh.
Farhan met
a director who'd be interested in making his short 'be careful
what you wish for' next Friday 30th August.

Team Sensational
dinned with Joy Francis and her
sister, Joy is a writer and worked as a journalist, she gave
us valuable information on the industry and strategies to
get money.
Team Sensational
visited one of the locations
for the London strand of the shoot.

Emma
Farrell sent in her director's treatment on how
she wants to shoot various scenes. It was very visual and
looks awesome.

Team Sensational
(minus Paul) went to lunch with Chris
Blaine and discussed the script, brianstormed and generally
ate and drank.
